Dual-Chamber Glove Box with Integrated Gas Purification System
For research on lithium metal anodes, solid-state electrolytes, highly reactive organometallic catalysts, and air-sensitive quantum materials, a standard glove box maintained by periodic gas purging is insufficient. These materials demand a continuously purified atmosphere where O₂ and H₂O are held below 1 ppm at all times — including during high-traffic sample transfer periods when the antechamber cycling would otherwise degrade atmosphere quality in a passive system. The integrated recirculating gas purification system addresses this by continuously circulating the box atmosphere through a purification column, removing both oxygen and moisture in real time, independent of gas consumption or antechamber use frequency.
Virospuk engineers will assess your material sensitivity requirements, antechamber cycling frequency, and in-box instrument needs before specifying the purification column capacity, gas circulation rate, and regeneration cycle parameters.

Integrated Instrument Configuration
This is Virospuk's most frequently requested glove box system, and in most installations it is configured with one or more in-box instruments. Common configurations we have engineered include: spin coater on an electrical feedthrough platform, thermal evaporation coater for in-situ metal electrode deposition, hydraulic or electric press for pellet and cell stack compaction, and precision balance on an anti-vibration platform. We design all feedthrough, gas line, and instrument mounting arrangements before delivery.
Typical Research Applications
- Lithium metal anode preparation, slurry coating, and cell assembly
- Solid-state electrolyte (sulfide, oxide, polymer) handling and cell assembly
- Full perovskite solar cell device fabrication — precursor preparation through electrode deposition
- Highly reactive organometallic and air-sensitive catalyst synthesis and handling
- Sodium-ion, potassium-ion, and next-generation battery cell assembly
- Quantum dot and sensitive 2D material processing
This system is a significant research infrastructure investment. Speak to our engineering team early in your project planning — we will specify the correct purification capacity, antechamber size, and in-box instrument configuration for your research programme.
